In today's design industry, designers are expected to possess a diverse set of skills instead of just focusing on graphic design. Being the project lead and solely responsible for designing a website was a new experience for me, and it proved to be a challenging task. At the same time, I utilized my strong branding skills to construct the site. Throughout the process, I encountered difficulties in areas such as basic coding, UI/UX rules, and project management. However, after a month and a half of hard work, the outcome was satisfactory and functional, and the initial goal was achieved.
Nonetheless, there are still areas that can be improved upon, such as accessibility and mobile responsiveness, which were not prioritized during the design phase. This has motivated me to learn more about UI/UX design to become a more well-rounded designer. In a year's time, we plan to create a mobile-friendly version of the site, and I will once again lead the project. I'm excited to see how it turns out!
